1) Directs pupil information data system program in support of al services, in accordance with governmental laws regulations for school district

2) Develops and maintains compliance program to meet legal requirements concerning students rights to privacy & due process of law in accordance to applicable laws regulations

3) Directs & coordinates activities of clerical staff engaged in compiling, maintaining and releasing pupil records information

4) Confers with staff and reviews records management system to recommend changes to improve system, utilizing knowledge of filing methods coding system, equipment, legal problems, and Board of Education requirements

5) Provides in-service training on topics, like legal requirements concerning pupil records and information to improve quality of report writing

6) Prepares departmental budget, records, and reports.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Manage own time and the time of others.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules, and the democratic political process.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
