Job description duties sample for yard supervisor

Job title: Yard Supervisor Reports to: direct supervisor or manager

Job tasks: [Core 5 job duties]

1) Supervises coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping equipment, materials, and supplies, like machinery, lumber, chemicals, fuel oils, scrap iron, and ore concentrate

2) Weighs railroad cars trucks containing shipments and verifies shipments against delivery records

3) Inspects incoming shipments, notifies freight agent of damages and compiles claim reports

4) Informs railroad crews of spotting site for incoming cars

5) Performs other duties as described under Supervisor any industry Master Title.
